The Sustainable Landscapes Partnership in Indonesia works with local and national government, private industries, and communities to improve livelihood options and reduce deforestation in Indonesia. Founded by USAID, the Walton Family Foundation, & Conservation International, the partnership introduces business models that preserve biodiversity and forests and encourage investment in low emission development to help boost the economy. They accomplish this by creating environmental assessments, training farmers to improve their crop output, and hosting a public awareness campaign to educate and increase stakeholder participation.
