What information do we collect, and why?

When you fill out a form on Climate Interactive, we collect your name, email address, and sometimes other information, such as your affiliation, the sector you work in, and the country you live in. We do this to collect usage statistics on our tools and monitor how they are being used and spread.

When you register a workshop or simulation event, we often use the facilitator’s name, the date and location of the event, and the number and type of participants on our event maps, as well as to analyze the growth and spread of these simulations globally.

When you enroll in online courses, such as Mastering En‑ROADS and The Climate Leader, we use your email address to send you course materials.

If you opt in, we use your name and email address to send you occasional newsletters and project updates. You can unsubscribe from our emails at any time, or you may contact us to view, update, or remove your personal information.

Who has my information, and for how long?

Your information is stored in Mailchimp and Salesforce, the services we use to manage contacts and email communications, in accordance with their privacy policies. Aside from the information noted above that appears on our public event maps, and these services we use internally, we do not share your personal information with anyone.

Your information will be stored indefinitely, unless you ask for it to be removed.

Our use of Google Analytics

We use Google Analytics to monitor our website performance and understand how visitors use our website and apps. Google Analytics collects your IP address and may use cookies to track your visit. To learn more and control Google’s collection of this data, read the Google privacy policy and terms.
