En-ROADS Climate Ambassador Camp 2025: A Month of Learning and Leadership

En-ROADS Climate Ambassador (ECA) Camp 2025 brought together a global cohort of climate leaders committed to driving effective climate action. This year’s camp welcomed over 1,300 participants from more than 130 countries, including professionals, advocates, educators, and community leaders, with 63% joining from Global South countries.

Throughout July, participants dedicated 13,800 hours to building their expertise with the En-ROADS Climate Solutions Simulator. Through videos, online quizzes, and collaborative live sessions, they explored key topics including climate dynamics, the impacts of different climate solutions, and facilitation techniques.

The cohort met weekly on Zoom to put their learnings into practice and connect with their peers around the world. The crowd-favorite Dynamics Quiz Show tested participants’ systems thinking skills in a fun, interactive format, while the Climate Action Simulation roleplaying experience offered a powerful look into the dynamics of diverse interest groups when they come together to create a global plan for climate change. Breakout rooms during each session provided space for deeper discussion and the exchange of perspectives, challenges, and ideas.

Since the conclusion of the training, many participants are already leading climate events in their communities and organizations, and working toward becoming certified Climate Ambassadors. En-ROADS Climate Solutions Workshops have been hosted for more than 1,100 participants in diverse settings, from youth climate leaders in Nairobi to local policymakers in Germany to Rotary Club members in Oregon (USA).

Participants described ECA Camp 2025 as energizing and eye-opening, noting how the training expanded their understanding of climate solutions and boosted their confidence in using the En-ROADS Simulator.
