Hello from Copenhagen, where I’ve arrived (along with 2,000 other climate scientists) at the Climate Change, Global Risks, Challenges, & Decisions conference, which is aiming to collect the latest emerging climate science in one place, and synthesize it into a form that can feed into the UNFCCC process.
Tomorrow I’ll be offering a talk about C-ROADS, making the case for the use of simple, rigorous user friendly climate simulations to increase the effectiveness of decision making in the run up to COP-15. After the talk, my slides will be available here on the Climate Interactive Blog, as well as a short report on the comments and feedback our work is receiving at the conference.
For today, I have the chance to sit back, listen and learn, and I will be reporting here on at least some of the flurry of sessions, talks, and posters. The opening session is about to start, with talks by Denmark’s Climate and Energy Minister, Connie Hedegaard, and Dr. Rajendra K. Pachauri, Chairman of the IPCC.
