En-ROADS is an online climate simulator which provides everyone with an opportunity to foster meaningful conversations, precipitate change, and address the global climate crisis. At Climate Interactive, we believe anyone with enough motivation and commitment can become a change maker. There is no time to waste; we need to develop solutions to address climate change today.
The power of En-ROADS is two-fold: it is accessible and free to all, and simultaneously is grounded in cutting-edge climate, energy, and land science. The En-ROADS simulator is over 10 years in the making, and has been co-developed through the hard work of system dynamics modelers and team at Climate Interactive and the MIT Sustainability Initiative.
Use En-ROADS to test what climate interventions are needed to effectively mitigate global warming, all from your internet browser. Explore dynamics in energy supply, land-use, transportation, carbon removal, and more. Unearth unique insights on how these driving forces – and the policies which dictate their behavior – affect a variety of climate impacts, from temperature change to sea level rise.
To improve your understanding of the model, we highly recommend using it in the context of one of Climate Interactive’s engaging group experiences:
Bring the workshop or game to your workplace, classroom, local community, and beyond. These experiences deliver transformative insights on the impacts of cross-sector climate actions. Both events allow participants to explore the En-ROADS model in a way that is thought-provoking, interactive, and focused on solutions.
You can learn more about the model, workshop and the Climate Action Simulation game by signing up for one of our launch events. It’s not too late, register for one of our introductory webinars today:
