New Project: Multisolving for Resilience and Climate

September 23, 2019 by Cassandra Ceballos

How do we build long-term resilience to climate change while also creating short-term benefits? Our team identified four unique cases across the United States that are multisolving for climate resilience. Starting today, we will release a case study each Monday for the next four weeks.

Our first case study comes from an area that is currently facing the peak of Atlantic hurricane season and had an evacuation earlier this month due to Hurricane Dorian. Practitioners in Charleston, South Carolina created living shorelines to minimize flooding and erosion from sea level rise while also enhancing habitats and carbon sequestration.

Explore our case study for an overview of the features and benefits such policies offer coastal areas. And while you’re there, be sure to subscribe to the Multisolving newsletter at the bottom of the webpage to receive updates on the next three cases!
