Yasmeen serves as Program Associate for Climate Interactive’s Climate
and Energy team where she supports research and community engagement
across a range of efforts including En-ROADS, the Climate Scoreboard,
and the World Climate Simulation.
She completed a dual Master’s program in Global Environmental
Politics & Natural Resources and Sustainable Development at American
University in Washington, DC and the University for Peace in Ciudad
Colon, Costa Rica. In this program she focused primarily on
international climate change issues, particularly climate justice,
gender and climate, and the UNFCCC process. She is currently based in
the DC area, where she previously worked for several climate policy
advocacy nonprofits. Yasmeen has engaged with both domestic and
international climate policy efforts, and most enjoys exploring these
issues through a justice lens.
